Victorian. A natural emerald the colour of something you shouldn’t say out loud, ringed by fourteen old mine cut diamonds and set in warm 10K yellow gold.
Here is what makes this one rare: the emerald is GIA‑certified Colombian, graded F1 — minor clarity enhancement, the highest grade a natural emerald realistically wears — and documented under GIA report 6243087866. Colombian emeralds are the most coveted on earth, and one this clean, this old, and this well‑documented almost never surfaces still in its original antique mount. Nothing here has been replaced or “improved.” It is exactly as it was made, more than a century ago.
This is a cluster ring in the truest antique sense — the form the Victorians perfected long before the modern “halo” borrowed the idea. A single bold colored stone at the centre, encircled by a crown of diamonds, built to catch candlelight and quiet a room. The emerald — roughly 2.75 carats, GIA Colombian — holds that deep, garden‑green softness and the natural inclusions only earth‑grown stones carry. Around it, the fourteen old mine cut diamonds (0.85 ct total, H–I, SI–I) were shaped by hand — high crown, small table, open facets, cut before machines standardized sparkle. They don’t flash. They glow — slower, warmer, more alive.
To the Victorians, the emerald was the stone of devotion and rebirth. This one survived the empire it was born in, every hand that wore it, and more than a century intact. A true collector’s piece.
