Wear What Survived: The Story of ZHIVA
Somewhere right now, a ring made in 1926 is sitting in a drawer. It has outlived the woman it was made for, the house she lived in, and probably the borders of the country as they were drawn the year it was cut. It has survived two world wars and a hundred trends that came and went while it stayed exactly what it was.
That ring is the whole idea behind ZHIVA.
The name comes from the Russian живая — alive. It's also Živa, the old Slavic goddess of life and spring. We chose it because that's the difference we care about. A new piece is manufactured. An antique piece is alive. It carries time in it — something no brand, at any price, can add to a thing made yesterday.
ZHIVA started the way most real things do: with years of doing the work.
I've spent years inside the fine antique, vintage, and estate jewelry world — long enough that the eye becomes instinct. You develop an intuition for what collectors and true connoisseurs respond to, and why. You learn how to source, and how to buy fine gems — the difference between a stone that's merely old and one that's genuinely fine. You learn what has real value and what only looks like it does. And just as importantly, you learn which pieces to walk away from.
That's the part most buyers never get to see, and it's the part that costs people money. ZHIVA exists so you don't have to spend a decade building that judgment yourself. When you buy from us, that experience is already priced in — the vetting, the sourcing, the knowing. You can be confident in what you're holding, because someone whose job it was to know has already stood where you're standing.
We don't make jewelry. We find the pieces that already know what they are. And when we do make something, we make it once, for one person.

Bespoke, made-to-order design. Sometimes the piece you're describing doesn't exist yet. You bring the idea — a stone you inherited, a shape you can't stop thinking about, a ring that has to mean one specific thing — and we design and build it around you. Vintage sourcing of fine jewelry and watches. Looking for something in particular — a signed Art Deco piece, a specific era, a watch with a name behind it — and you don't want to spend two years learning how to hunt for it? Tell us what you're after. We find it, verify it, and bring you the real thing, on your behalf, with someone who already knows which listings lie and which dealers don't.
Carefully sourced vintage & antique jewels. And then the collection itself — pieces we've hunted, vetted, and chosen to offer. Estate finds, antique stones, jewelry that has lived one life and is ready for the next.
